The Bristol Sound & Vision Show 2015 Preview
It's the traditional harbinger of spring. No not daffodils but the Bristol Sound & Vision Show which comes around each year at the end of February.
As always we'll be there to cover the 2015 show, check out all the latest technology and even possibly meet a few members. This year Steve Withers and Ed Selley will be in attendance, so look out for videos and articles covering the show from this weekend. So what can we expect to see in the bedrooms of the Marriott City Centre Hotel in Bristol?

As with previous years, the emphasis will be on stereo and HiFi products, so expect plenty of speakers, amplifiers and turntables in the demo rooms. Of course these days streaming is where it's at so there will be loads of high-res audio, networked devices and streaming services in evidence. The continuing convenience of modern music delivery means that there will also be plenty of headphones and portable music devices on display as well.

In terms of AV the big news has been the launch of Dolby Atmos, with its additional overhead speakers. So we can expect to see plenty of demos of the new format from the receiver manufacturers, although whether they'll use upward-firing Atmos speakers or actually install overhead ones remains to be seen. However, we're willing to bet that the most prevalent demo Blu-ray this year will be Transformers: Age of Extinction. So let's take a closer look at what you'll be able to see at this year's Bristol Sound & Vision Show.
There will be plenty of HiFi products in the demo rooms but, thanks to Dolby Atmos, multi-channel will also be back with a bang.
Loudspeaker manufacturer PMC plan to unveil a new addition to their twenty series design at the show, whilst JL Audio will be introducing the CR-1 active subwoofer crossover. Audio Technica will be debuting their new MSR7 headphones for the first time in the UK and Optoma will be taking a break from projectors to show off their new range of audio products. The Canadian loudspeaker manufacturer Paradigm will be introducing their Prestige Series, whilst Mass Fidelity will be launching their revolutionary The Core wireless speaker. Legendary audio brand Technics will be making a welcome return to Bristol and the equally famous Tannoy will unveil their Revolution XT Series.

Quad will be on hand to demonstrate their new S Series of loudspeakers, as well as offering show-goers the chance to get a world-exclusive preview of two components from an exciting new range. Kudos Audio will be demonstrating their flagship Titan 808 loudspeaker, which includes ground-breaking Linn Exakt technology. Arcam will be at the show in force, with their FMJ A49 integrated stereo amplifier taking pride of place. As always Armour Homes will be at the show demonstrating a wide range of Q Acoustics products including their 3000 Series. Chord will be showing their new CPM 2800 MkII and the highly rated Hugo headphone amplifier. REL will be in evidence as always with some room shaking subwoofer demos, whilst Bowers & Wilkins will demonstrate their new CM Series.

Streaming will be huge of course and Clint Digital will have their Asgard range of wireless network loudspeakers on show, whilst Signify will be demonstrating their Novafitelity X40 high-end CD/HDD/ripper/streramer with built-in DACs. For those who want Hi-Res audio, Sony will be on hand to demonstrate their latest range of compatible products. Yamaha will be at the show of course, with a wide range of audio products but pride of place will go to their Dolby Atmos demo. The KEF Blade Two will be making an appearance, along with KEF's own Dolby Atmos demonstration. Finally, if it's projection that you're interested in, then JVC will be at their usual spot with their award-winning line-up of 4K compatible projectors.

The Bristol Sound & Vision show runs from Friday the 20th to Sunday the 22nd of February 2015.
