Closed back design to provide deeper bass and a new voice coil design

Audio-Technica has introduced a limited edition of the audiophile ATH-A900X headphones with several enhancements over the original.
The ATH-A900XLTD headphones boast a ‘closed back’ design with a Double Air Damping System which means deeper bass and Audi-Technica reckons they’re a great match for high resolution digital formats, from Apple Lossless to FLAC and DSD formats.

The scarlet coloured surround includes a 3D Wing Support headband, which reduces weight and should increase comfort levels. They only weigh in at 340g, anyhow.

The headphones will offer a 3.5mm gold plated plug and a, decently long, 3 metre cable. There’s also a detachable 6.3mm adaptor for the sake of wider compatibility with high-end hi-fi systems.

There’s also a new voice coil which compliments the 53mm driver, which they say creates a clearer, more natural sound.

The ATH-A900XLTD are on sale now priced £389 and can be purchased from: www.audiotechnicashop.com
