Cyrus Audio offers ONE Series home trials
SRP: £999.00

Cyrus Audio has launched a 14 day free home trial of its Cyrus ONE, ONE HD and ONE Cast amplifiers along with the ONE linear speakers.

Given the social distancing and self-isolation measures that the UK public finds itself living and working under as a response to the coronavirus emergency, Cyrus Audio has introduced an initiative to help keep customers entertained while still adhering to the government's requirements.

For consumers who are looking for ways of introducing or expanding a home music setup using the Cyrus ONE Series of products, participating UK dealers can be contacted to arrange a 14 day loan of one of the amplifier products, either with or without speakers, for just a small deposit (which is returnable within 14 days if the order is cancelled).

This approach means that customers and dealers mitigate any contact risk while also enabling customers to hear exactly how the products will sound in their own homes or, indeed, the specific room the setup will be used in along with any existing audio equipment that may also be part of the setup.

This removes any uncertainty the customer may have about the product sounding different in the dealer’s showroom compared to their own listening space.

Cyrus Audio’s MD, Simon Freethy, commented on the announcement, “The relaxation a good music system can provide has never been so important. With large numbers of people being asked to work from home and/or self-isolating, we want to ensure they have the opportunity for the escapism of music, without the stress of having to directly visit a hi-fi retailer.” He added, “Our UK dealers have seen a dramatic fall in customer visits, so we wanted to develop a programme which allowed our retailers to continue to provide all the added value services they offer above online stores, such as demonstration facilities as well as one to one advice, without the customer physically having to visit the store.

The response from retailers has been positive with participating dealers including Soundcraft, James-Morrow Home Entertainment Systems Ltd, Action Gate Audio, DNA Audio and Peter Tyson.

The Cyrus ONE Series consists of:

Cyrus ONE:  A 100W per channel ‘Hybrid Class-D’ stereo amplifier with multiple analogue inputs including a high quality phono stage. It also features a dedicated headphone amplifier and an AV mode which enables the Cyrus ONE to be partnered with an AV amplifier.

ONE HD: This adds digital compatibility by providing inputs that are optimised for sound quality by using a High-Resolution 32-bit ESS DAC and proprietary filtering systems. The Bluetooth input uses they latest Qualcomm aptX HD specification.

ONE Cast: A smart speaker which can be assigned a name and location and thus integrated into a wireless multi-room audio system. It uses built-in Google Cast, Apple AirPlay and Works with Alexa and features numerous connectivity options including an HDMI ARC input to enable connection to a compatible TV for use as a soundbar. The onboard DAC is capable of handling up to 32/192 digital files and DSD 128.

ONE linear: A compact bookshelf speaker that uses a KEVLAR bass driver and soft-dome tweeter. Ideally partnered with the Cyrus ONE amplifier, the speakers feature a traditional ‘linear’ acoustic response, capable of handling the power produced by the Cyrus ONE Series.

Does the option to trial these products at home sound tempting to you. If you make use of the 14 day trial, let us know in the chat thread how you got on and what you thought of the products.
