Denon launch new all-in-one system
SRP: £269.00
Denon has launched the all-new D-T1 system, combining CD and FM/AM radio with Bluetooth streaming from a wide range of personal audio devices.
Available in black or a matte grey finish, and supplied complete with speakers, Denon claims the D-T1 is the perfect system for a first-time buyer or those looking for a second system for a bedroom, kitchen or study.

The D-T1 has a smooth-operating slot-loading CD mechanism able to play both standard CDs and MP3/WMA files on CD-R/RW discs, plus a built-in FM/AM radio tuner. It also features Bluetooth allowing music, from services like Spotify, or podcasts to be streamed wirelessly from phones, tablets or computers.

The optical digital input allows users to feed the sound from their TV through the D-T1, efficiently turning the system into a soundbar. The analogue inputs are also ideal for connecting an external source, such as an older personal music player or turntable with built-in phono EQ. A headphone output is also provided.

Denon claims that the 2x15W amplifier output is more than enough to fill a room. The Denon designed speakers use a 25mm soft-dome tweeter and a 12 cm woofer for mid and low frequencies. The system has tone controls to adjust the sound to suit your personal tastes. The D-T1 comes complete with a remote handset to handle all its functions from a distance.

The Japanese company, founded in 1910, have a long history of creating small but powerful all-in-one systems. Ed Selly, one of AVForums audio reviewers, has been a big fan of all-in-one systems for a while now. Regular AVForums podcast listeners will know that his advice to first-time buyers is that they should seriously consider an all-in-one system. If the D-T1 is as good as Denon says, we might have a new budget all-in-one champion.

The D-T1 will cost £269 and is available now through authorised Denon retailers.
