In anticipation of Rogue One: A Star Wars Story hitting our cinemas this December, Lucasfilm have released the final poster and trailer.
Director Gareth Edwards promised us a very different kind of Star Wars film and based upon this new trailer that's exactly what we're going to get. There seems to be far more originality and artistry in this new film, compared to The Force Awakens, which felt like a remake of the original Star Wars. Although this trailer and the previous one do set out the plot in some detail, there will hopefully be a few surprises in store for fans when they finally get to see the new film.
The new film stars Felicity Jones as Jyn Erso, a young girl with a mysterious past who joins the fledgling rebellion. The rest of the cast includes Forest Whitaker as Saw Gerrera, Mads Mikkelsen as Jyn’s father, Riz Ahmed as Bodhi Rook, Diego Luna as Cassian Andor, Donnie Yen as Chirrut Imwe and Wen Jiang as Base Malbus. Ben Mendelsohn plays the main villain Orson Krennic, whilst Alan Tudyk portrays new droid K-2SO and James Earl Jones returns to provide the voice of everyone’s favourite Sith Lord.
Rogue One: A Star Wars Story opens in the UK on the 16th of December.
