Marantz has expanded its home cinema line-up with the launch of the range-topping SR7012 network AV receiver and AV7704 multichannel AV preamplifier/processor.
Both models feature up-to-the-minute home cinema technology including Dolby Atmos/DTS:X/Auro- 3D decoding and full 4K compatibility, along with HEOS wireless multiroom audio capability – but, says the manufacturer, above all have been designed with attention to detail to deliver the signature Marantz sound quality.
Marantz doesn’t believe that home cinema performance should come at the expense of music playback, and both the SR7012 and AV7704 are designed to sit at the heart of a complete high-end home entertainment system, the SR7012 being a one-box processing/control amplification solution with nine channels of discrete amplification at 200W per channel.
The AV7704 is designed to be used with external Marantz amplification with 11.2-channel processing with XLR and RCA outputs. It will also 13.2 pre-outs, 7.1-channel inputs and a phono input. The AV7704 has 8 HDMI inputs and 3 HDMI outputs, all of which support 4K 60p, High Dynamic Range (HDR 10), Wide Colour Gamut and HDCP 2.2. Marantz will also add support for HLG, Dolby Vision and eARC via a firmware update.
Both models also have a wide range of facilities to enable your music to be shared and enjoyed, including network streaming, compatibility with ultra-high-resolution music formats, Bluetooth and Airplay for playback from portable devices, as well as, HEOS wireless multiroom system providing access to popular streaming services like Deezer, Spotify, TuneIn Internet Radiom, Tidal, SoundCloud and more.
The SR7012 has a suggested price of £1,499, while the AV7704 is slated for £1,889.
