Panasonic has confirmed that the AX802 4K TV is now capable of streaming Netflix ultra-high definition 4K content.
It was a bit of a let-down when we discovered the 50AX802 wasn’t compatible with just about the only UHD content service in existence, when it was released, so this is good news for you early adopters.

Existing AX802 owners will receive a firmware update when they next connect their set to the internet, which will allow them to begin enjoying 4K Netflix movies and shows such as “House of Cards”, “Breaking Bad”, and beginning in December with “Marco Polo”, a new slate of Netflix Originals.

In addition, Panasonic’s newly released AX902 TVs are compatible with Netflix streaming in 4K right out of the box. We’ll have a review of that soon.
