Hisense H50U7000 4K LED LCD TV Preview

This one could be a real tournament contender

by Steve Withers
MSRP: £539.00
The U7000 isn't just Hisense's mid-range model for this year, it's also the Official TV of the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia and includes a World Cup app with exclusive content. The U7000 comes in three screen sizes, the 50-inch H50U7000, the 55-inch H55U7000 and the 65-inch H65U7000. It is a 4K Ultra HD TV with elite backlighting (that's edge LED backlighting to the rest of us), support for High Dynamic Range (HDR10, HDR10+ and Hybrid Log-Gamma) and Wide Colour Gamut (WCG). It uses a 120Hz VA LCD panel with an Ultra Slim design, a bezel-less screen and a pure metal construction. The U7000 will be available in May and although full pricing hasn't been announced yet, the H50U7000 is expected to retail for just £699, making it a real tournament contender.
