Hi
Just wondering if anyone has an idea of what's causing this strange issue that's recently cropped up on my AV550.
After the unit has been on for a while (say longer than 30 minutes) it turns off when changing HDMI sources and will not work again unless powered off for 10 to 15 minutes.
For...
Due to moving to new processor brand my Dirac DLBC for multiple subs is available for sale.
License is for an Arcam AV40/ 41 processor.
Currently retails for £392 ($499).
Process to be arranged with Dirac, info from them follows :-
please ask your buyer to create an account (if he hasn't...
Hi all
My AVR400 has given 13 years of stellar service but unfortunately the HDMI board has recently failed. I’ve hobbled along using a spdif cable from the TV back to the amp and bypassing the HDMI but it’s probably time for a change.
There is an AVR390 for sale locally for a decent price...
Hi,
I thought I was fairly well versed in setting up equipment to work but obviously not!
I upgraded last week from my Arcam AVR400 to the AVR390.
If I can get the above to work properly, then I will proceed with Dirac. I haven't as yet checked for firmware updates.
I have used the test...
Arcam SA20 Amplifier
Speaker output only works on left channel.
Have checked all speaker connections and the speaker are both working.
Any suggestions would be appreciated.
So I'm waiting to receive the Arcam avr20, I have read that the Arcam sets up the subs as a pair or mono pair, or they can be setup separately on channels 13-16.
Are there owners that have tried both and have an opinion on which is better?
Anyone using a Arcam AV41 & PA720? Thoughts please. Plus is it worth it paying the extra, or just go for a AVR31 instead? Hopefully at some point I’ll be going for a demo as well.
I pulled an Arcam Alpha one amplifier out of a crate in the recycling centre yesterday, it powers up ok but I don't know if it works because I haven't a clue how to connect it to my Onkyo reciever.
Should I use RCA cables and to
which ports would I connect them?
I've just bought a second hand AVR390 and today I am trying to set up Dirac live
The AVR is showing uo on my home network. I've downloaded the latest version of dirac from the arcam website but when I scan for the AVR nothing shows up?
I've tried it on my windows 11 laptop and a pc running...

Hi AVForum collective,
I need some help with setup on our Arcam AVR550. We predominantly watch streamers through the TV so have a HDMI cable connected from the TV to the Arc port on the AVR and have CEC enabled on the TV and this all works well. Tonight I dusted off my trusty PS3 to watch a Blu...
I have just bought the ALPHA IQ active speakers, replacing loads of Arcam stuff and large Mission floorstanders, with Sonos doing the TV, due to a rethink of our TV & Music set up.
Very pleased on the whole. Not as big a sound but very much a simpler system that delivers very good music...
Hi - I recently got a good deal on an Arcam A5, and I'm very keen to like it! However, I'm having problems warming to the sound. To me it's very detailed, but too bright, and I find myself not enjoying it as much as I think I should.
My setup is a Rega P6 - Cambridge Audio Alva Duo - Arcam A5 -...
Hi,
I have a Arcam A32/P35 set up currently and a set of Kef IQ5SE speakers. I am looking to upgrade the speakers and have a budget of about £500. From what i can see online in the 2nd hand market I could get
a) Dali Oberon 5.
b) Spendor A5 or A6
c) Rega RX3
These are all floorstanders.
The...
Toying with the idea of changing my Arcam SA30 .... I think part of this is just an itch so don't know how serious I actually am, think it would depend wholly on whether I thought something would be a significant upgrade or not and balancing that vs the cost to do so.
If I say what I'd like to...
Hi, I am interested in controlling my ARCAM AVR 20 Receiver via the network. It beats the IR Blaster I have....
I am competent in writing Python scripts using networking Libs so just understanding the API's would be helpful?
Thanks

Hi all,
I recently bought an Arcam SA30, however not sure if i've made a mistake and should've went for a power amp.
My set up
Speakers - PMC Prodigy 5
DAC - HUGO 2

Would i be better returning the SA30 and going for the...
With my Arcam AVR30 I have Dynaudio Contour S1.4’s as the fronts and Dynaudio Audience 52SE’s as the rears.
Would Dynaudio Contour 20i’s be a worthwhile upgrade for the fronts? The S1.4’s would then be used as rears so hopefully would be a good upgrade to the existing g 52SE’s.
The Radia series is Arcam’s new family of Hi-Fi and AV components and the A25 is the current top of the tree. Is Arcam’s take on a modern stereo integrated the right one?
