Thinking of building up a system slowly, piece by piece.
Have Linn LP12 turntable, a Marantz CD6006 CD player, and a Denon AVR2803 av receiver.
Looking to change out the speakers now, have cheap, old wharfedales and pioneers.
Thinking of spending up to $2k on a pair of good speakers, should I buy something old, that cost a lot more than that 20 years ago, or buy something new that will be worth a lot less sometime fairly soon (or maybe something 2-3 years old that was more than $2k, but can be found for that amount now)?
Of course actual auditioning will have to wait a few months now, until it is safe to leave the house again :-(, so call it virtual shopping
