Hi
I am looking for some advice on what the best speakers/amp set-up I should be looking for? I have a 65" Samsung QLED 2019 Q90R TV mounted on the wall. The speaker wires are chased into the wall with the TV (one lower right, one lower left and one in the centre under the TV). I also have two rear ceiling speakers. All these wires come out in a cupboard to the side of the TV.

At first I thought I could put my Marrantz amp (NR1403) in the cupboard, hooked up to the Virgin media box, the TV and the speakers, but I don't think this is going to work as the sub woofer will be in the cupboard and therefore the sound won't be heard. I could pull it out of the cupboard, but a lot of wires would be visible.

So now I'm wondering what I should get to replace this? I'd like to be able to make use of the existing cabling, if possible, or at the very least, not need to do any new cabling/chasing. Do I need a new amp? Would a sound bar be any better? How would the sound bar work with the rear speakers? I guess, in an ideal world, there would be a set-up which uses my existing amp, where the wall/ceiling speaker cables come into the cupboard and there's a sub-woofer outside the cupboard, on the floor, working wirelessly with the rest of the speakers, does such a thing exist?

I have attached some pics of current set-up, just to help visualise what I'm talking about as I'm not sure I have explained very well.

Any advice would be gratefully received.

Thanks
M

The sub should be in the room rather than in the cupboard. The cabling can be hidden by trunking or run it along the edge under the carpet.

Almost all home av/cinema enthusiastics would go for a separates system rather than a sound bar.
