Please can someone give me some advice. I am new to FreeSat.
Previously we had Freeview but moved house today and there was no suitable aerial but there is a sat dish so I purchased a Bush Free Sat Box.
It works great.
BUT with my old Techwood Freeview I had the ability to record programmes as well as view them. This facility is not there with the Free Sat box.
Is there any way I can pick up the signal via the Free Sat box and record it onto the built in disk on my old freeview box? That would save me buying another recorder.
If so in idiot proof steps how would I do it?

Many thanks

Welcome:)

Nope, the Freeview PVR's (like most) record only from their internal tuners. You would need to either buy a Humax Freesat PVR or a Panasonic Freesat+ with DVD or Blu-ray to get the same functions as before.

Of course if your location is ok then just adding an aerial for Freeview will help matters:)

Thanks for the quick and helpful reply.

As a temp measure can I record Freesat onto my old Video Recorder. The type that records to tape not DVD?

No problem with this, you just need a scart cable connecting the two.
