I'm thinking of adding to my LG C8 with a sound bar. Am I right in saying that the people here (whom I trust) say that the Sonos Beam is the one to go for?

The Sonos beam is good but couple of things to point out.

1)it’s better with some ones as surrounds and even better still with the sub

2)I personally think you need a music subscription of some sort to make the most of Sonos. Spotify, amazon, Deezer etc

Thanks for the advice Fergal.

I do have a music subscription.

Does the sonos beam sound good with music as well as films and TV?

Yes it does. However good sound varies from person to person. I would say for the price it’s a really good soundbar but it’s not a cinema experience

I've got two Sonos Beams and they are good but they only do Dolby Digital 5.1, not DTS and not Dolby Digital Plus so you have to choose your sources carefully. Xbox One S, Apple TV 4k and a PS4 Pro with a hdmi embedder are my sources.
