I hope Panasonic brings out an iteration and next gen configuration of the GZ2000 without speakers so it is designed to connect to AV System.

I'm guessing the picture of the hole in the grass is something to do with a "black hole" into another dimension. 🤔 Methinks the only things you will find there are..... 🦠..... 🐜 ......🕷..... 💩. Luv LT.

Any chance of putting my "n" up with the rest of my Taxima.....? 😏 👀.... Plus my new avatar is of the latest purpose built London type taxi. It's the TXE-City hybrid (electric / petrol) in red as opposed to the blue (diesel) TX4 that has been here for some time.

Another great podcast - thanks

Very interesting comments regarding the GZ2000, looking forward to the review/comparisons Phil.
Quite a few on here want the GZ2000 monitor, come on Panasonic, give us one in 2020 (naturally with hdmi 2.1 ;) )

Very interested to see how Philips compare too, they seem to be coming back, have not been interested in their TVs since the crt days, but their recent flagship has caught my eye.

If Mark doesn’t make the next podcast, we should still have an update to see if the paint “knocked him out” into his garden pit (after watching Casino UHD recently, the final desert grave scene comes to mind).
PS5 is getting me excited, also looking forward to dipping my toes into VR too, the current wired form just won’t work in our house with the kids, so if VR2 is wireless, I’ll invest.

Speaking of HFR, what ever happened to the tests from a few years back, is it on its way or has it been put to the side, I recall LG oled a supporting it from 2018>
I wonder if you could get a BBC future tech / engineering trials team guest on to share their vision of what maybe coming to a future iPlayer/UK TV, are we going to see HLG/HFR or are the current budgets delaying all of it?

Entertaining podcast as always :D

@Phil Hinton I'd love to know how a top performing LCD would compare against the mastering monitor and GZ2000. Specifically with bright films like Aquaman where the whole image is bright and not just specular highights. Can the GZ2000 maintain it's colour accuracy at bright levels? Does it give the same wow that an LCD can give with bright images?
Aquaman blew me away with it's vibrancy on a DX902 so I'd love to see how a modern LCD stacks up against these top OLEDs with films like that.

Most of this will be in the final review and video.

I'm very interested in the differences you have seen when comparing dolby vision and HDR10+.
Please get the results and your opinion posted ASAP !

What will be interesting is if 10+ looks better then DV

another Tron Legacy lover here
I was wondering the other day if we actually owe Tron Legacy for De-Aging as opposed to whole digital young versions ala CLU
then i listened to the gemini man comments and thought maybe not :)
