Hey Steve and Phil
You’ve probably been asked this before, so apologies...have you guys ever featured your home cinema set ups on the forums? It would be great to see them for curiosity’s sake as well as context for your reviews.

The best testimonial is what you have at home. Good point.

That's a great idea !

Unless, of course, their set ups are full of review samples that got "lost in the post" on there way back to the manufacturer...

On a serious note, we don't keep review samples, everything gets sent back. Happy to list off the cinema room contents.

OK. Some of these are long term loan kit (L) - this allows us to test with high-end kit that we wouldn't be able to have otherwise. It allows us to produce higher quality reviews because of that. It doesn't influence the actual reviews of the kit (as the loans normally happen months after the kit is reviewed, or is reviewed by another member of the team). It is always returned after a set period of testing time.

Buying a UHD just because it's Star Wars..?

Can't go moaning/complaining about how Disney are treating the franchise if you continue to stump up the cash to them Mr. Withers.... ;)

After 41 years it's hard to let go of the balloon.

There are so many rants on the web against TLJ and hopefully even Disney acknowledges the negativity. I too will purchase the movie because clearly they need allot more money to pay for better Writers.

Thanks Gents for this week's edition and in particular the discussion about Bristol and associated issues. I agree with many of your thoughts and the organisers really do need to reconsider their naming of the show.
Suggest people keep an eye on this year's Audio & AV show in Birmingham ( September ) for a more balanced show, albeit smaller but a superior venue.
Really looking forward to Steve's review of TLJ UHD disc whilst trying to be subjective. Think we can all guess the movie score element.

Unfortunately, that's a trade show

Great pod as always, glad I wasn’t the only one who enjoyed Mute. I think Phil put it perfectly as a Sunday afternoon movie, switch off your brain and enjoy.

No mention of the new series of Masterchef though!

thanks for the podcast , I'm not really into hi end HIFI but you made it entertaining and interesting .....
