BBC bias...

There are jobs and positions that will only ever be filled by a select few. Influential people that have paid a lot of money to educate their children, will always get preference, and I'm not sure why you ignore this.
I am not ignoring it - I am agreeing with you that it exists. However, I am also pointing out such distinctions exist in every single society in one form or another.

it could be argued the public were duped back then. If people didnt know what it was they were voting for, surely that too is null and void?
The very first treaty we signed included the phrase "ever closer Union". It was there for all to see.

Most of the middle classes wallowed in despair when Britain voted leave...we all had the sense to release what a mess was about to descend on the country.

This reads like a very condescending reply with looking down ones noes at a class below your own. May of read it wrong but this is how it comes across.

Condescending or not, it I don't think anyone can genuinely say Brexit has been an overwhelming success to date.

Which Ted Heath blatantly lied about.

This is an interesting article giving the context.

And then we have things he said himself.

There are some in this country who fear that in going into Europe we shall in some way sacrifice independence and sovereignty, even that we shall begin to lose our national identity. These fears, I need hardly say, are completely unjustified and exaggerated.

And much of what he said back then it's very illuminating for those who think leaving the EU is a right wing enterprise.

  • [If Britain withdrew from the EEC] it would be a new and different D-Day for Britain—Disaster Day. Of course, this is what the wild men of the left, Mr Benn, Mr Shore and Mr Foot actually want. They thrive on a diet of disaster...they are aching for the go-ahead to build an economic Berlin wall around Britain. And within that British Berlin wall, there would be a socialist State running a siege economy.
    • Speech in Newcastle (2 May 1975), quoted in The Times (3 May 1975), p. 4
  • We would find ourselves pulling out of the European Community straight into the arms of the wild men of the left. The whole country would be plagued with Foot and Benn disease. ... The left are not really all that interested in the Common Market. What they want is for Britain to break her treaty obligations and pull out of the Community so that they could impose their own extreme socialist state in Britain.
    • Speech in Catterick, Yorkshire (29 May 1975), quoted in The Times (30 May 1975), p. 4

That is not down to the public that voted to leave . It is down to Goverment and HoC, that we gave them a job and so far they have failed to deliver . It was indeed " I am smarter than you " post then it seems ?

Acceptance , be that goverment , HoC and the remainer public of said result might of ( may of ) been the better option towards an end result.

As for the Beeb and bias , yup it's evident and indeed pushed to the fore .Considering their unique way of maintaining costs it should not be the case . End of the day though who gives a fudge as we have already picked a side and a news outlet is not going to change that .

But their news reports and reporters are full of bias. Since the referendum it’s like a drip drip of bad news all put down to Brexit.(not forgetting the despite Brexit-good news).

Some people will be influenced by this, and others, although still wanting Brexit have decided it’s all too difficult and we had better stay as we were.

Because of anti democratic attitudes that your happy to run with.
What "anti-democratic attitudes" that I am "happy to run with"?

Democracy only works if there is an agreement that losers accept the winners- and we move on. If they don’t, as has been the case since the referendum, democracy fails.

Would you prefer the Beeb to be a state sponsered media outlet such as Faux news in the US ? As always we choose to see one side dependant on our side.

A media outlet at this time can not deliver or indeed stall Brexit , only a govement and HoC can do this .

Your looking in the wrong direction .

Appologies I assumed you relished every hurdle that Brexit has faced.
The hurdles were inevitable - as are the many ones to come both before and after.

He may do, but they haven't told him :)

Most people I know are far too sensible to discuss how they voted amongst family and friends.

 know what you mean

Works a different matter tho, plenty at mine on both sides of the fence more than happy to force their opinions down your throat ;)

To be fair, if I met some of the people on this sub-forum in person, I would say I voted leave as well to avoid the otherwise inevitable rant.

It's duly noted that you also use subconscious influence, to give the illusion that someone who wants to leave is a person without manners, standing, or good moral fiber.

What you infact find, is that Leavers are the silent ones, that dare not say anything, for fear of verbal insults and abuse. Turn your TV on and watch it before your very eyes on any news programme's.

;)

That's because they're all too grown up and embarrassed watching kids sorry I mean Marvel films, and don't want to face the wrath of one Dbcoup :D
