Blood And Truth - 29th May 2019

How is the Aim support? I missed the recent sale on this as I was going to wait until Monday to get ti but didn't realise the sale was only the weekend! :(
Anyway I'll pick it up next time it's cheap as those challenges look fun

My sister came round the other day and had a go of this. We had a fan circulating in the room as it was quite hot. She got to the bit in the beginning when you are sitting in the car and she was fiddling about with the sat Nav and other buttone etc she reaches over in game to move the air vents just as the room fan goes past her. ‘ooh that’s so realistic I can feel the air coming from the air vent, it amazing!!’ My nephew and I just burst out laughing. Took her a good while to figure out why we were taking the mick!

It's only for the challenges but works well, especially for the two handed weapons. The reloads are instant, so it does give you an advantage as far as levels times go.

so i see this is up on offer ATM on the store...

is it worth getting ?

Yes!

If the concept appeals to you...absolutely :)

Basically a cinematic short version of Uncharted done London foul mouth gangster style in VR. Great experience.

Bought it a few weeks ago as I was waiting for it to drop in price and definitely worth the money.
Not finished the story yet but it's great fun, cheesy as hell but so enjoyable and reasonably varied gameplay as well.

Have to say the addon of the shooting challenges are really good especially if you have an Aim controller...although the clay pigeon shooting is almost impossible - I used to do a fair amount of it years ago but this is really not very realistic (still good fun though).

well i managed to try it last night for the first time. since buying it back in November
when it was on offer on the store.

done the first two parts and i must say its pretty good...
used the normal controller.....
i assume you can use the move controllers too ?
i could also try the aim controller, i did use this on firewall
but i guess like anything it take time to get used to it.

I played it through with the moves.

Some of the two handed weapons were a bit dodgy, getting everything lined up, mostly ok though. Dual-wielding worked well though.

It's good with the move controllers and it's probably the way the game was intended to be played. Two handed weapons can be a bit iffy though.

The aim controller can only be used for a few of the challenge levels, not for any of the story missions.

cheers, il have to give that a try..

Fin ally finished this yesterday after leaving the last few missions for a month or so. Cracking finale and overall it's a great addition to my VR library and worth a play...especially if you can get it on sale.

Think I would play it again and the extra shooting missions etc... are decent.

I can't imagine what something like this would look like on PS5 and PSVR2 - mind-blowing. As @Goooner says the two handed weapons can be dodgy at tracking and difficult to shoot right but overall it plays brilliantly well.

I've tried the Aim controller with the skeet shooting and it was almost impossible but the normal target shooting with the Aim works great.

I think the tracking was robust , as mentioned the two-handed weapons like assault rifles were a little dodgy but not impossible and I had no issues at all with handguns and any other one-handed weapon, I was using move controllers the entire time, but as with PS-VR one person's setup experience doesn't always mirror another.

I really hope they continue the story with a second game would be a shame not to.

did a little bit more on this last week using the move controllers
taking some getting used too then the normal controller.
but much better once you get to grips with them.
im in the casino now, still a long way to go i would imagine.
but enjoying it anyway.

two many games and too many consoles. will get there...

Got this in a sale ages ago and have only just got around to playing it.

I've had plenty of drinks tonight so perhaps thats to blame but i've been having so much trouble with reloading the guns using Move controllers.

So many times i would empty the gun but reaching for another clip would simply refuse to reload it. This has resulted in so many frustrating deaths and retrys that i've not reall enjoyed my time with it.

I've made it to the lift after the disco level but the reload thing has left me not being all that bothered to continue with it at all.

Keep at it - it can be tricky with reloading at sometimes the worst possible times! I found it harder to reload at night than during daylight as PSVR camera tracked it better.

Yeah i'll give it another go and pay more attention to the set up this time. I had the clip in my hand but it flat out refused to reload about 80% of the time, I had drunk quite alot yesterday so probably my error.

Sony London Studio have just dropped a patch to improve the visuals when playing this on PS5.

They stated it runs in a higher resolution with an improved frame rate, more detailed textures and higher quality assets used at all times.

I hope other developers follow suit!

On the store currently for £12.94
