The Arc connection on my GZ1000 gives me full menu access on the screen display. I would imagine it would be the same on your LG, just need to press m on the remote and you are able to set up everything, apart from the chromecast which is done on the the device with google home on it.When connecting to the LG TV, how do you get to the bar’s menus? I have a 2019 LG TV and it’s a faff having to get to the menus on my current Yamaha soundbar. I’ve been keeping an eye on the Canton 10 and am really tempted by it, providing that I can get to its menus! The current lack of DTS:X isn’t an issue, but it’s good to see the company working towards it.

I'll ask Canton, because although there are plenty of PR shots of the Smart 10 wall-mounted (which suggests it can be), like you I couldn't actually find a bracket advertised anywhere. There's a topic here with some discussion.
I didn't know about the tempered glass, my toddler tends to use my current bar as a drum so having second thoughts on buying this now.
@Steve Withers you mention a wall mount is available, have you seen one advertised, I can't find it?

That's why I couldn't find one, I'd forgotten that all you need is a pair of screws! I'll point that out in the review. Thanks, just looked at the back picture on their website, it might not need a mount for the wall, it can just hand off 2 screws. I need it to hang below the TV (off wall) so will look for a generic one like this.
I wonder this also but having not heard either it's hard to comment. I'm not sure there is anywhere you can demo the canton .Why would something buy this at the this price point for 2.1.2? Surly a Samsung Q soundbar would be a better buy?
this depends on your setup. But would eARC really be of benefit on this type of device from the audio perspective? The auto lip sync feature (if I’m recalling the eARC feature set correctly) would be a benefit, but I can’t see any other advantage. Its absence would not be an obstacle to me buying, should the occasion arise.

OLED TVs like the 2019 LG line up pass full bandwidth HD audio such as dolby atmos via eArc...Is that because the eARC standard is still incomplete? In any event, I thought that TVs passed lossy Atmos in a DD+ container, or something like that, and I don't know of any TVs that pass DTS:X. I agree that each use case will be different, but as you'l never get true Atmos from something like the Canton 10, the true benefits of eARC will never be realised.

True. But just like any other soundbar out there, the question is how much "sound" you can get out of it just because it supports atmos.OLED TVs like the 2019 LG line up pass full bandwidth HD audio such as dolby atmos via eArc...
exactly....Many years ago, when soundbars were in their relative infancy, I went from a full-blown 6.1 system to the Yamaha YSP4100 that I have now, along with a sub-woofer. Is the sound as good? No, of course not. Would I go back to a multi-speaker system? No. I've got past the point where I (and my wife in particular), wants the front room looking like the floor of a hi-fi store. They are a compromise for sure, but switching from a complete system to my YSP4100 hasn't reduced my enjoyment that much. Once you accept the compromises, assuming that you can of course, then a good soundbar is easy to live with. That they can't do everything that a separates system can is a given, but I don't feel deprived in any way as a result.

You can use this analogy for most systems. Value is very vague and is very personal. Canton use their own designed speakers/drivers and specialise in speaker systems. They are coming from this perspective, most people looking at LG or Samsung bars wouldn't even have heard of Canton. The soundbar sounds excellent, far far better than the similarly priced Bose. The sound is rich and immersive. The atmos/position based audio does work to a point. I also have the rear speakers and this adds a whole new dimension. I can also add further front speakers and a sub to make a 7.1.2 system, this soundbar becomes the centre channel. I have no plans to do this presently but it's nice to know I can.True. But just like any other soundbar out there, the question is how much "sound" you can get out of it just because it supports atmos.
Soundbar as an ideas is fine. And any soundbar will most likely improve the sound. But now they started with those separate speakers and prices which nowhere near provide the same immersive audio as proper x.1 system for less money. And there are more speakers involved which somehow negate the use of soundbar in the first place.
Don't have much experience with them other than some cheapos at people homes and some more expensive as demo units in stores. But none of those expensive ones manage to convince me that it's worth over 2k of something as none of them provides nowhere near 5x "more sound" than the 500 one. The usually sound much better for music, that's true. But since that's not their primary function in my book I don't see how any of them is actually worth the money. If money is no object then fine but otherwise...
And that puzzles me with every review, they all conclude that immersive audio isn't something and yet they give 8 or 9 for over 2k product.
