Not sure if this is the right section, but im looking for suggestions on recessed decking lighting.

Im wanting to get somthing thats flush, or almost flush fitting thats also quite bright. Im not wanting mains powered as that will involve an electrician and new circuit etc, so solar power it is.

Ive seen loads of lights with the solar cells built in but by all accounts theyre crap. Im wondering if anyone has seen good ones? Or alternatively do any decent ones exist that plug into an external solar panel?

Why not just use 12V lights, you can do all the wiring outside, and just need transformers, which could be plugged in if you don't want to hard wire them.

Thought of that but i dont have an external socket and dont fancy trailing cables through windows or doors etc

I used Blagdon powersafe. The cable for you lights uses one of these Blagdon PowerSafe Outdoor Plug and Socket Cable Connector: Amazon.co.uk: Lighting

This is plugged into this http://www.amazon.co.uk/Interpet-Ltd-PowerSafe-4-Outlet-Switchbox/dp/B0010ANYAM/ref=sr_1_3?s=lighting&ie=UTF8&qid=1361691448&sr=1-3

Then a cable from the above box runs into your house ( one hole) and a standard plug is fitted onto it, then plugged into this Blagdon PowerSafe Water Garden Circuit Breaker: Amazon.co.uk: Lighting then just plug it into your indoor socket.
