Denon announce new AV Receiver line-up including 11-channel X6300 - article discussion

When you still have hundreds of Dolby Pro Logic encoded discs, which I won't be changing, is the main reason I brought up the loss of Dolby ProLogic II by some manufacturers, and whether to switch to a different make new AV Receiver, or try to live without it?
The Yamaha RX-A2060/3060 has the ProLogic IIX rather than the newer ProLogic IIz, although the sound quality with 9 channels at 140watts RMS is easily enough power for my Cinema room, on demonstration listening tests it was extremely good.
The new top Pioneer AV Receiver was beaten by the corresponding Yamaha model and that's the first time that Pioneer have lost the best AV amp model in the last ten years.
The Onkyo amps unfortunately don't have the new DTS X, but of course they do have THX Select2 Plus decoding, and ProLogic IIz.
Decisions, Decisions. Budget around max of £1900 hopefully less. :) ;) :(
