hi all

my first post here and with a very crazy issue... here it goes:

Setup is following

Denon avr-2200x with speakers on front L and R, center speaker, surround L and R.

Cable tv box connected to hdmi 1

Xbox connected to hdmi4 and optical 2

Avr connected to LG C8 via hdmi1 on avr to hdmi2 on tv (both ARC)

Network via rj45 (wifi also works)

After setting up avr, what I got:

Spotify connect (after opening internet radio and media player and whatever) works fine. If I change modes from stereo to dolby and others, I have sound on 2 front speakers, on front and center or on the 5 speakers. It works perfectly. And nice sound btw.

Checking info on avr, I have

Source: ipod/usb

Sound: dolby surround (or whatever I choose) – active speakers highlight accordingly

Input: PCM

If I select input tuner, FM or AM, got no sound at all. Checking info:

Source: tuner

Sound: stereo(or whatever I choose)

Input: analog

If I choose cable box (hdmi1), again no sound, but I do have image. Info:

Source: cbl/sat (or whatever name I have)

Sound: dolby surround (or whatever I choose)

Input: unknown

If I choose xbox (hdmi4), again no sound, but I do have image. Info:

Source: game (or whatever name I have)

Sound: dolby surround (or whatever I choose)

Input: unknown

Finally, since I have this connected using hdmi arc connections, I have hdmi passthrough enabled. If I power off AVR, and leave cable box or xbox on, hdmi passthrough works perfect!

However, if I select netflix app from TV, and turn on AVR, selecting ARC audio on tv, again no sound. But tv can send vol up/down to AVR.

Help…

Check that the HDMI Audio Out option is configured to AVR. If that doesn't suffice, try setting the
TV Audio Switching option to Off.

If that doesn't help, take the AVR in for repair.

Hi.

Finally it works. It seems everything was configured ok. the problem was that the AVR was stored without being used for a couple of months. after let it on for like an half an hour, the AVR started to make some noise.

for the last days is working as expected :D
