Hello fellow tech enthusiasts,

I have bought this Powerline Adapter, which uses the HomePlug AV2 Standard. It is on sale for £59.99. You can either see the specifications for the adapter here or download the attached PDF document.

I had this Powerline Adapter before but one of the units were bricked so I returned it to the retailer. This powerline adapter advertises the MIMO technology, however the BT one doesn't.

I have heard that all of the HomePlug AV2 adapters uses the MIMO technology however.

So referring back to the title - Do all HomePlug AV2 Powerline Adapters use the MIMO technology?

Looking forward to hearing back from you guys.
Thanks!

The AV2 Standard ‘Supports’ 2x2 MIMO but does not mandate it. As a Standard Atheros chipset only supports upto 600 Mbps throughput anything greater is most likely using 2x2 MIMO Using Qualcomm chips. The 2x2 MIMO just means that the powerline adapters uses all 3 conductors (with Live as a common) forming 2 pairs, whereas SISO (upto 600 Mbps) only uses one 2 conductors or a single pair.
