Hi

Sorry for another question.... moving to VM soon, is it worth getting ones of these to run the wire in from the ground floor to the first floor?

I want the router in the box room upstairs so once the cable is across the drive and connected at the front I want it run upstairs from the side of the house and am thinking of getting a trunking so that the VM engineer and fit it and run the cable in it. The cable in the front will not be in a trunking so thinking not worth it but not sure.

Thoughts please?

Thank you

I agree you don't NEED any trunking.
Though Weather and Sunlight over many years can age a cable a little.

There would be no harm in fitting Plastic Mini Trunking (not self adhesive - just normal and screw it to the wall) for cable to run in, and you can buy in a variety of colours to match your wall.

No real need I'd say, but not going to hurt either, and may look a bit neater I guess than bare cable and cable clips nailed all the way up.

Or this design, in the colour that matched your wall the best, would look neater than base cable:

Costs next to nothing......
