Today I was given a bottle of port as a thank you and I purchased a bottle for Christmas. So with this in mind are there port lovers out there? There didn't seem to be a dedicated thread.

Do you know the Bishop of Norwich?

Not a big port drinker but do occasionally induldge - esp with cheeses.

Currently have a Ramos Pinto 20 Year Old Tawny on the go as it was recommended to me and looking at a few online resources like Decanter it is exceptionally highly rated... I'd say its good but I've had things that are more to my tastes.

It is one I've been considering for a while now.............

Not really sure what one to buy, so might check out a few for the upcoming festive break.

White port, yes please.
Tawny and ruby port, no thanks

Taylor's port and stilton is fantastic after a meal.

Taylors have 30+ ports from ruby, white to LBV, crusty etc... any particular you're recommending?
These are what I have for Christmas:

I love port especially the declared vintages
I've had some incredible port wines
I'm also rather partial to white port.
we spent a lot of time in Portugal and I wanted to buy a house but she who held the purse strings overruled.
I also love white port. Its largely unknown in the UK.
I love it. Today we bought a dows fine white port. Its beautiful. Almost a maderia.
It's less serious than a heavyweight port.
If you like port then try this one.
keep in the fridge for a few hours. Then take out. Allow to warm very slightly for 10 minutes then drink this wine that Zeus would have consumed in keeping with his monikor.
I paid £12 for the dows today I'm Fenwicks Newcastle. A veritable bargain.
