I bought a Fuji AX 7 camera for mainly holiday travels and wanted to make it a little more compact?
I mainly shoot urban city type photos and started looking at the XF 27mm pancake lens...any pros and cons.

Since it's a x mount it will fit my current AX 7 and if I upgrade to a higher x Mount Fuji it would fit that too.

Any views?

The 27mm lens falls into the ‘decent’ category rather than ‘stellar’ category. Sharp in the centre but with slightly weak corners.

The other thing to consider is whether it’s wide enough for urban? 27mm on Fuji gives you a 40.5mm fov which isn’t that wide.

As above, I use it mainly/only if I want small and light as the IQ isn't as good as others in the range. As such it's my go to for holiday/travel/walking about, daytime as it's not that fast, unless you want gritty nightlife shots. I'd say wide enough for most things apart from architecture. Unobtrusive a big plus.
