Hello,

Could use little of help according to Harmankardon AVR151S which is acting up weird lately.

Current setup:

3 devices over HDMI connected,

ARC to TV and from TV TOS Link cable to AVR
HDMI 1 computer
HDMI 2 PS4
HDMI 3 digitalTV box
USB disk 16 Gb

If device has been off without power (plugged off from wall socket) for amount of time i turn it in, it's on last input i used.
Device plays sound and everything looks "roses and shine". Then i decide ok enough of TV , i'll play some PS4 games, switching input to HDMI 2.
All sounds gone Picture present, Turn on computer - switch HDMI 1 - no sound, picture present.
Same is with USB/iPhone plays, can be browsed thru dirs to seek favorite song to play etc. until input switched and sound gone, switching back will not help.

I can select any input, take power off from unit, wait 10-15 mins, plug HK in to wall and - sound present.

*** Note - If i let computer go to sleep, sound is goner and will not return on wake while picture comes nicely, same on PS4

Visual inspection of boards shows no electrolytic condensators popped.

Reset to unite done, no updates available for AVR 151S unit.

Where to start troubleshoot, i'd rather leave this DTS chip re-balling for last, one should heat Chorus3 FS1230A like 2 min with heat-gun / hairdryer @450 °C (YouTube "specialists")

While manufacturers PDF file on particular Chorus3 chip says:
Temperature range :
Operating -40 to +65 °C at 90% humidity
Storage -40 to +125 °C

Hi Andrus73,

I have exactly the same problem as you have.
Did you manage to find a solution to this problem?

Kind regards,

Hi Andrus73, Rog93.
I also have the same problem with switching inputs. It had been fine for 8 years, just developed this 'issue'. Did either of you find a solution?
