When I watch my "Deep Blue" DVD on my PC, it displays with the correct aspect ratio, but there is a black border around the footage (about 5-8% all around top/bottom/left+right). Is this normal? I have tried it with PowerDVD and WinDVD software, with the same result. I can use zoom player to get rid of it, but is it a fault on the DVD itself and should I take it back? Or is this some kind of artistic thing? It seems like a waste of pixels to me.

Actually, I am watching the DVD now, and it has suddenly filled the screen with no border - in the dolphin hunting sequence, and remains that way until the end of the crab scene. The border comes back at the coral reefs. What's happening!??? Is it the same for other people?

I don't have a standalone player to try it on - only a PC.

Great eye-candy DVD though.

Thanks for any help.

Mike.
