Hi, I removed the receiver from the equation. I connected the ATV 4K to my Seiki SE39UY04. Here's what happens.

1) When I have the ATV set to 1080p SDR, everything works, but not getting 4K.

2) When I have it set to 1080p HDR, the screen is a light gray, like there's a filter on the screen.

3) When I have it set to 4K SDR, the screen is pink with heavy green elements.

4) When I have it set to 4K HDR, I get a "Not Support" message and switches back to the previous format.

I've tried several things on the TV but that didn't help. I tried several good quality HDMI cables and the same thing happens. Anyone know why this might be occurring?

Thanks!

I found this online.
  • Refresh Rate: 120Hz (Native), 30Hz (4K)
It seems to be limited to 30Hz at 4K. Is this why I'm having the problem?

Yes, 1080p SDR is the correct output for your TV.

Your TV is a very early or low cost 4K model that only features HDMI 1.4 ports which limits it to 4K at 30Hz, the AppleTV 4K needs 60Hz output and the TV does not support HDR either.
