I don't want to upgrade to Catalina (because I know it will break a few apps that I use) but everyday I'm getting a notification telling me there is a software update to install (the one from Sys Prefs, not the App Store one) and I can't figure out how to silence it. I don't want to turn off "check for updates" as I'd still like to be notified when there is a system update, but is there a way to tell it to stop bothering me with THIS software update (kinda like how in iTunes if you connect your iPhone and there's an update, you can tick the box that says "don't warn me of this again" or whatever it is)

Or is turning off "check for updates" the only way?

But isn't allowing "Check for updates" simply doing its job? I think it is saying "I didi what you allowed and this is what I found..."

Or are you asking for "Check for updates but keep quiet about it"... ?
