Hello, I am really hoping someone may be able to help...

I am working on a design that involves interactive 2D laser projected interfaces. I am looking for a solution that will enable the system to measure touch sensitivity/ velocity.
The hang up is that I want the GUI to be projected on to a non interactive standard surface, so I am thinking that pressure sensitivity could be measured by the rate/ speed in which the interface is touched??

Does anyone know of any laser projected interfaces that are able to measure velocity/ pressure of touch? Or can anyone shed any light on how to achieve this...

Regards,

Joe

Before going too far into the project do you have a decent budget for the touch element?

What is the surface going to be?

Any visuals of what you are planning?

Projecting an image onto a touch surface with the user standing between the surface and the projector can be problematic - which is why most classroom type systems use ultra short throw projectors or touch display screens.
