is it too much to ask what the unaffordable prices might be?

Yes, not actually stating the prices is a major omission. Not that I can afford one, but it would be nice to know how many banks I need to rob!

8k TVs are not worth it.

Optimal distance for a 75 inch 8k tv image is 2.5 feet.
For a 88 tv you are looking at around 3.5 ft. Who sits that close to a tv??

only cos the C9 has been out for several months

the idea of an 88" OLED is tempting but even at that size I am not sure that 8K is necessary and presumably really only serves to justify" halo pricing

be nice if the new panel plant in China can reduce the price of larger sized OLED TV's to be more commensurate with the cost of 65" panels which are now reasonably affordable

On the same day I buy a LG C8 it is already obsolete
I feel your pain, the second you buy any tech, there's always something better around the corner!

Time to start saving for when these become affordable for us mere mortals.
So long as you can save at a faster rate than the Great British Peso continues to plummet. In 2015 $30K would have been £20K; today it's £25K. I'd still like one though. In the meantime, projectors will have to do.
