Hi All,

I've had my TV (LG 65" C9 OLED) wall mounted recently and feel it's a bit too high on the wall.
Rather than get someone out and have the mount removed and reinstalled lower, I want to know if I can just remove the TV from the wall and move it lower on the existing bracket?

The TV weighs 25kgs and the wall mount is rated for 65kgs. My concern is that the TV is currently mounted dead-centre which I'm guessing distributes the weight evenly, if I move the TV lower will it add stress to the mount/wall and potentially cause any issues?

I've attached some photo's to better show what I'm wanting to do.

Thanks in advance!

Looks possible.

thanks, wiz.

It's definitely possible, I just want to make sure that the re-distribution of weight won't pull the mount off the wall !

Think i’d re drill though as it doesn‘t take long

I have the exact same mount in my office, lowering the weight down the bracket will actually reduce the stress on the bracket so should be a good thing. It changes the weight load from being a load pulling away from the wall to a more sheer load which will means an easier load for the bracket and bolts holding it on...
