I have a monitor that has 2 x hdmi and 1 x DisplayPort
I have a mechanical usb keyboard and a wireless Logitech Mx mouse

What I would like is to be able to connect them to “something” and then, when wanting to run iPad as a desktop I connect that “something” to the iPad

Would also like to be able to have an external hard drive connected as well for extra storage

Want it to be as simple and as clean as possible. So I can easily use the iPad in both tablet and desktop mode with pretty much zero faffing.

So be used as tablet 75 percent of time but then, when wanting to use word or even browse web on big screen I can do so. Also would want to be able to use all the apps that I have on iPad including Netflix etc.

Cheers.

What model of iPad do you have?

I got myself a usb c hub off amazon.
hdmi works however it is only a mirror of screen and for most things does not go full screen on monitor. Fine for movies but very limited real estate for things like word and safari

One big drawback though is, as far as I can see, I can’t get my air pods to work when connected to external monitor
