NEWS: Samsung and LG squabble over QLED definition

But if that fiesta was a 1.3 N/A petrol, but was sold as Ford Fiesta 2.0 BiTurboo Dieesel - that's what is misleading. The naming doesn't need to be technically incorrect. It is sufficient if it can be misunderstood - and the QLED term is wrong on so many levels...

Firstly, it is made to look like OLED. QLED vs OLED - 95% of buyers won't notice. What's more, QLED might imply that it uses Quantum Dot LEDs. It doesn't.

Well on a very basic level of the use of words like 'Pro' 'Professional' 'Turbo'. They are often used in the name of a item which neither is meant for professionals or in the other case has a turbo.

You can use pretty well any word in the name of something unless it has copyright.
It is all down to the description and tech sheet that only really matters.

Anyway it is just my opinion so we will see what happens. I have a feeling nothing can be done it is just more of an attempt to frustrate Samsung sales and make headlines. I think to the people who it matters to they know what they are getting when they buy a Samsung QLED.
