It's an interesting exercise but what's the point of it?
People who don't want an intrusive TV in their living room are even less likely to want a box the size of a car in their room. The unit it rolls up into is massive.
I'd also be worried about wear and tear with constant rolling.
In all seriousness these things have to start somewhere. The early iterations always have significant comprises and questionable viability.
Early adopters help fund refinements and eventually economies of scale turn them into a mainstream product. Once they manage to shrink the container down and prove reliability I can see it becoming mainstream. For example I'd buy a 60" screen that expands to encompass the wall for late night movie viewing.
Ofcourse maybe things will go a different route. Perhaps our walls will become displays, before roll out days get a chance to have their day in the sun.
