- Yamaha has upgraded the DAC aswell, now Burr-Brown 384 kHz / 32-bit DAC x 3 (x4 on 585/685)
- Amount of HDMI inputs are still low and for 685 they have taken one away from V683, but added second HDMI output (5/2).
- HDMI eARC via future firmware update

Hoping to see Aventage serie announcement very soon!

Odd that none of the AVRs have streaming services icons listed, not even bare bones internet radio provider.

Edit - looking in the manual - this may have become a musiccast app-only thing - ugh, I hope not, its nice to just turn the thing on and not have to fiddle with a phone.

The likes of the RXV685 has 8 scene buttons on the remote control, meaning you can save a streaming service as a scene, then turn on the amp just by pressing your desired scene on the remote.
Of course navigating Spotify requires an app (it's using Spotify Connect after all), but you will have to initially login to the streaming service using the MusicCast app when you first step up the receiver.
 
A wee update - the Alexa musiccast feature is now live in the UK :)
