Struggled (again) this month. Not sure this is really still life, especially as there is movement captured in it, and not altogether 100% happy with it (especially the background), but just about run out of time so it will have to do.

Still Life

Date / Time: 24/05/2020 17:37
Camera: Canon 600D
Lens: Sigma 70-300mm
Focal Length: 238mm
Aperture: f/5.6
Shutter: 1/500
ISO: 100
Mode: Aperture Priority

Set everything up, set camera to continues mode, used (wired) remote and locked "shutter button" down, then ran to glass to drop strawberry in, then ran back to release shutter lock. Did that several times and this was the best shot.

Very pleased with the sharpness of the glass and the freeze of the splash, but was trying to go for more blur on the background, but failed.

Edited in Photoshop Elements for slight crop and straighten, levels, contract, shadows / highlights etc, and a sharpen.

good effort, not easy to do by the sound of it.

Yep, bit more setting up involved then a quick point and shoot. For some of the later shots my kids wanted to press the shutter button, so I didn't need to do the running back and forth to drop the strawberry, but as it turned out, this is from one of my first attempts.
