Hi, I have a Pro-Ject turntable (with phono out) that I am looking to connect to my AV Denon amp

As there is no inbuilt digital converter I know it will not work by just plugging it into the Amp. Any idea if I could purchase something that I could connect the turntable too that would allow me to do this?

Phono preamps are readily available for this purpose in many manufacturers and models. You can run analog into the receiver or even use a device to convert to digital, although that’s not usually the best solution unless you’re digitizing to files. What cartridge do you have?

Can you provide model numbers for the Project and the Denon as it may still be possible if the Denon has a Phono input or the Project has a built in preamp/Phono stage. if not a separate phono stage is what you need, these range from £20-£20,000 so depending on your needs I am sure suggestions will come (including being able to record the turntable output to a PC/Laptop).
