On the whole .. that sounds pretty encouraging and hopefully I will come out happy (enough) :smashin:

Thanks for the early review @Phil Hinton :smashin:

Hmmm next Wednesday IT or last blood?

I see The Guardian are currently having a meltdown over this movie - Delicious!

I won't be seeing this in the Cinema but I'll definitely be buying it on 4K Blu-Ray.

Thanks Phil, off to see this tonight and quite looking forward to it as thought the 2008 Rambo was all in all a good watch. 👍🏼

Nice work. Hopefully get to see this next week.

It was never gonna win any Oscar's, but ya can't go wrong with a one man army jobber.

But is the last action bit of the Movie
DACHA DACHA DACHA DACHA?
(Usually at least with a .50 Cal)
(Even at 73, if it's on a swivel mounting, as long as you can bend your fingers, all good!)
:)

Yeah read the guardian review, if a movie triggers the SJW's means it's gonna be good

Seeing this in 4DX tomorrow, can’t wait

Ah ok thanks @Phil Hinton

Further thanks @Casimir Harlow for the review ... cheers pal 👍🏻

Sorry mate, didn't mention Tyler's score in the review kind of on purpose. I thought Tyler did a good job on the last one, but this was mostly unmemorable IMO. Few seeds of the old themes were not enough, and it never got going even when the action kicked off.

Cheers Cas ... part of me feared that.

Tyler was cast VERY late in the day to score this film so I wondered if it would be rushed / not heavily linked to the film ... oh well 😔

Expectations met. Just what I wanted/ needed it to be. Straightforward, old school, one man army gore-drenched revenge porn . Never got bored. Build up is just good enough to make you care enough about the characters, and to get angry enough for what follows- rather like John's bowstring being pulled wire taut ready to be unleashed. Only gripe is that a lot of the later kills are a bit brief, would have liked them to linger a bit longer. I know, Im a bit of a sicko. Stallone kills it (npi) and seems even deadlier than in his prime. 7.5/10

And I'll say this for the film: it has plenty of heart

Just watched the last film again, to get me ready for this, didn't want to forget any key plot points from the film 😀..

Yes, almost like a montage of deaths. I guess that played into the guerrilla style, but I agree, at least a couple more extended deaths would have been nice. Although I do like Rambo's version of Perpetual Overkill (TM), it raised a chuckle from the psycho in me.

And I'll say this for the film: it has plenty of heart

So going to become a meme. Plenty of heart; it'll rip your heart out; got lots of heart. Nearly put a bunch in the review 🔪💔

Paint the whole world with a Rambo - in shades of red.
Have to agree it was a bit creaky and skitted over kills that made some scenes in the other films look glacial when dispatching the bad guys.
However, it's well worth a watch for not only completion's sake but because it's a decent enough action flick with Stallone doing his best to keep that lower lip from fluttering down during his lines - until emotion calls, of course.
It's hopeful to see an old geezer take out those young upstarts - not quite Michael Caine in Harry Brown, though.

Since I watched all the Rambo movies first time round...I'd like to revisit all of them again before I watch this, thanks for the review Cas ( although, First Blood will always be my favourite, who doesn't love some decent carnage )

totally enjoyed the last movie, and have high hopes for this,a lot of respect goes to Stallone for still being relevant in this series and Rocky/Creed,he’s come a helluva long way since Rocky

Everyone seems to have enjoyed the film so far. Goodness me, let's hope that this is really the last blood. :D

It's a very accurate review imo. Over the top and feels slightly unlike a Rambo movie, but hey, doesn't want to see the baddies getting sorted in imaginatively nasty ways
