I'm new to drones and wanted to play around with these things.

Just brought the Parrot Mini spider so unimpressed it's very unstable and slight crash causing propeller to break or week to crack.

Now I'm looking for something else ideally something small I can fly around the house and garden. Should be stable and easy for beginner.

I see new mini drone 3.0 looks impressive but not released yet.

Anything else to consider ?

As I've wrote before in another post , one of the best quads for both beginner and pro to learn , practice etc is the Syma x5 or even the bigger Syma x8 . I have both but there is something about the x5 . It's very stable and easy to fly . Not to big and certainly not too small and will happily fly indoors or out .
Prices aren't to bad either , my x5 was £44 and the x8 was £58 .

Ok I'll take a look at these ?
Appear a little bigger then the mini drone though ?

Yes the X5 (the smallest) is larger than a mini drone but it does mean it can be easily flown outside (in addition to inside) due its larger size, larger props and more powerful motors

I purchased a Word Tech elite Orion glow in the dark drone ad its very stable and has a 1 Axes gimble camera , its good for what you want around the yard or school yard
