I’ve got a Tannoy TS 500 sub that wasn’t sounding right. Sounded like it was farting to be honest. Have tried to reproduce it but now can’t. But I’m pretty sure something is wrong. I’m not using it (went a bit crazy and got the SVS PC4000) but I am just wondering how much time and effort it would be to try and fix it myself.

I have zero experience or specialist tools, and a wife who would much rather the box was out of our house via EBay. Also have two children whom I should probably be caring for rather than tinkering. But I am a fairly methodical guy, and I built my own PC OK so I have faith in myself.

Just wanted some people who know what they are talking about to let me know whether I should even consider trying to fix it, or whether I’m just opening myself up to a world of pain and I should put it on EBay for spares/repair.

Get a quote from a professional electronics company if you can and go from there

Actually have put it on EBay - Mrs Sicrates wants to declutter. It's ending today if anyone is interested.
