Hi all,
Ive decided it’s time for me to upgrade my system to 4K so I was wondering which amp you would recommend as I currently have the Onkyo TX-NR809. I was thinking of going with either the Denon AVR-X4500 or the AVR-X3600? The only real difference I can see is the speaker power which is 125w for the 4500 and 105w for the 3600. I have a 5.2 system consisting of B & W DM 603 S3 150w fronts, LCR 60 S3 120w centre, DM 600 S3 100w Rears and 2 x ASW 600 Subs. I would like the option of putting extra speakers in the ceiling or high level but I think both would cope with that. Also I will be replacing my JVC X30 projector with the JVC DLA N5 4K One. Also might run a projector into the garden along with speakers from the amp at some point👍
Let me know what you think I should go for👍

The 4500 has AL32 processing, I've been impressed with it on my 6500 which has made a worthy upgrade from my old 6200 that had AL24. It's a close call but I'd go for the 4500 with only £104 difference at Richer Sounds, would be impolite not to do so.

I am kind of leaning towards the 4500 and as you say there’s not a lot of price difference.
