Anyone else had one of these?

MobTech

Just received a text message from the above company stating that they are thankful for my subscription and that I will be charged £4.50 but to send stop to cancel. I've tried sending stop but the message always fails. Is this something to worry about viruses etc etc

I sent STOP and dialled the number 0203 608 5243 for 'customer assistance'

Pressed 2 to speak to an advisor and was told "we cannot take your call right now, please leave a message after the tone"

I left them a message alright.

Contact your airtime provider. Something similar happened to the wife. o2 refunded the £4.50 too!

92p credit atm - they'd be hard-pressed to take £4.50 out of that.

When you send STOP to these things you're meant to get notification that it's been stopped.

We haven't had that but would like to know how we subscribed for something we've never heard of?

This is who they are:

There's an email address:

[email protected]

MOBTECH UG on first research comes up as a German company but I suspect it's something to do with Uganda

I sent them an email titled "You rang?"

or rather texted - my phone.

1. Who are you and what do you want?
2. How did you get my personal number?
3. I sent STOP to 60031 but there is no acknowledgement
4. You said I subscribed to your service - I didn't
5. Happy New Year
6. Cancel 5
7. [expletive removed]
