Not much I know but in this case it really is the thought that counts. This shortbread, a traditional gift with older people up here in Scotland and was given to me by an 80 year old who I invariably meet when walking my cat Millie and she is out with her dog Hamish.
She is aware that Edie died this year and have no contact with family so this small token is quite touching.
I am hoping that I can eat it but it does need to get very soft when dunked into coffee as I have little ability to swallow solid food.
