Hard to say I had xtz 99.26 and 25 mk2 I now have 3 ls50 across the front and because of the way the kef drivers work having the tweeter in the centre of the mid bass driver it' works better for home cinema the ls50 are also sound very good but need a power amp to get the best out of them the xtz speakers are very easy to drive so sound good without a power amp but would still benefit from more power and play louder compared to the kefs I'm in south East London if you need a demo

I think probably the loudness bit hard to explain even with my subwoofer velodyne hgs15 crossed over at 80htz 90 and 100htz if I play music I have to be careful when turning up volume as the drivers start to bottom out

Fair enough. I only use mine for cinema and they do the job for that. The ls50 are way smaller than the 99.36 so can’t see them being any better though for output level. Maybe you need some seriously big floorstanders. Are you listening really loud?

No not that loud at all they sound very good on using for home cinema certainly loud enough but I do miss my old xtz cinema series speakers now there just on a superior level for home cinema you can just keep tuning them up and up no distortion in fact when I had them I had a frend over for a demo and I had to turn the volume down as it hert his ears :D

The LS50s love power, even at low listening levels. For HT I would suggest that the R3s would be a better allround bet. I preferred R300s to LS50s a good few years ago in audition. Not been disappointed and they certainly responded to being driven with power.

Jus some pictures of what I had and what I have now

Unfortunately I missed out on some R300 at at a reduced price so managed to get some used Ls50 and a pair or kef TDM34DS and just install two pairs of KEF e301 on the ceiling for Atmos

Excellent looking stuff sir.

But how do you see your telly over the centre speaker and stack?

I can only assume you are either eight feet tall... or sit on a ladder?

It's the angle I took the pictures when sitting on the sofa you can see the TV ok
