Have you seen any reviews stating this yet ?Apparently it is a step up from the AG9
Well Sony are going to have to be careful here , as you stated the AG9 replacement (A9H) has been pushed back until next year , so the AG9 is staying as the top of the range Master Series set this year , yet if the A8 performs better at a very close price point people are obviously going to buy that instead !!No spoke to someone at Sony, its an AG9 with a couple of extra features. Ag9 will have new processor and 2.1 hdmi but probably not here till next year
This is the tv I'm going for after having my 55 x9305C for over 5 yearsPerhaps it will push the price of the AG9 down further to around,£2300
Thats what I have, great tv but time to move onThis is the tv I'm going for after having my 55 x9305C for over 5 years

Unless they launch it at IFA in September ready for the PS5 launch?Wrong, sir. You are confusing/melding the (2019/2020) AG9 or US A9G with the ("not gonna happen in 2019") AH9 or US A9H.
I'm in no rush so I'll wait but probably will stick to the AH8Unless they launch it at IFA in September ready for the PS5 launch?
I was all about to buy the AG9 and I asked my Sony friend which I should buy and he said AH8.
Take a look at the table from the post in the linkSo it's lower spec or Similar to the AG9 but more Money
Slightly less duck-like feet are available on the A85 variant. Apparently there are also A87 and A89 variants, but no idea what they look like.I personally despise the “duck feet” on this AH8, but it looks to be slightly SUPERIOR to the AG9 (or A9G in the US), from early reliable US review sources.
The motion clarity is one + aspect. Slightly CLEANER screen showing. Apparently positive improvements made by Sony.
Just hating on that infernal duck feet look ! Ugh.
