Star Wars: Episode II - Attack of the Clones 4K Blu-ray Review & Comments

A brief review from somebody that genuinely enjoys watching all Star Wars films:
The 4K disc is superb, the picture quality was really impressive, very noticeable upgrade over the Blu-ray.
Atmos was also fantastic really cranked up.
If you like watching the prequels, you'll really appreciate these new discs.
If you don't like them, don't buy them.

I don’t know what’s happening to me, but I watched this 4k disc last night and quite enjoyed it! I still think C-3PO’s factory chase stuff is beyond awful but I think I just went with the flow this time, and as a result enjoyed it more. I think watching all of these films in near proximity probably helps. All the stuff on the rainswept planet looks great and as ever the minefield chase sequence and final battle sound tremendous. I really enjoy Ewan McGregor’s performance in this one also.

As far as the 4K disc goes, completely agree with the review - it’s so much nicer than TPM (a disc so bad picture wise that it feels recall-worthy to me) and while it felt a little dark, and obviously lacks some WCG goodness and fine resolution due to the limited source, was much more pleasing to watch.

Cheers Cas!
