I just bought the 55" TCL 55R625 and am not very happy with the way it is processing the black levels from my U-verse cable box. It is hooked up via HDMI. I was watching "Evil" on CBS last night and it is (obviously) a very dark show.
The blacks look very "crawly" and posterized. I have it set to "Movie" with all of the other adjustments turned off (Local Contrast, etc.). The brightness is set to "Normal." Anyone have suggestions on settings that will help the issue. I know this is 720p, at best, coming in from the cable and is compressed, but it is really bothersome. Any help appreciated!
