I’ve got the 3D release - the 3D is very well done but it’s still got some terrible looking DNR in places. There is a medium close-up shot of the psychiatrist which is awful in terms of obvious smoothing. Generally though the colours are nice and with the 3D it’s worth getting, with that caveat that a few shots are very poor (as is the case with all the formats of the latest release).
I have both and enjoy both, I think the 4k might edge it, I’ve shown it to my cinephile friends and they’ve all been very impressed with the 4K version. The 3D is acceptable but it isn’t a ‘wow’ disc.
