Between 2015 and 2017, City were drawn against Premiership opposition 13 times out of 15 draws in domestic cup competitions - 13 of which were away from home.

Gotta feel for Solihull. That's gotta hurt.

The FA Cup this weekend ...... the holders have manipulated the draw to ensure a rest before the League Cup semi final - which we also hold and also manipulated.

Some tasty looking ties out there this weekend!

Pardon my ignorance, anyone know what the minute delay's all about?

I'll be abroad while all of this is going on.

Wrexham away - proper six-pointer, UTS!

Mental health minute.

Timely as on NYD we learned of the death of former player Chris Barker. He was just 39.

I'm at a loss to understand why, in these days of corporate greed and lining the pockets of the tv companies, there isn't one tie scheduled for tonight. Absolutely no challenge to Coronation Street at all!

Games played at premier league grounds will have VAR. Otherwise they won’t.

farce.

Just a continuation of the nonsense.

Even though some of those EPL sides (the tight gits) are big screen less .. where as the Championship have them and even lower down the food chain.

Just to say what a damp squib the Wolves game is zzzz,

Strong rumour is we will be going for a back line tomorrow of Adrian,Williams, Philips,Hoever & Larouci. Origi ,Elliot, and Minemo up front, Milner,Jones and Lallana in midfield.

Yep won't quite be as extreme as the Villa game, but it won't be far away.

I expect some of the big guns won't even make the bench. But that's fine by me.

With a decent lead in the league and 6 days till next game i'd have liked to see us have a little go in the FA Cup for once, especially given our opposition.

Yeah, heading over tomorrow as well with 2 tickets for once so will be a shame to not see some of the first team but looking forward to seeing Minamino in a red shirt ....hopefully. I'm expecting an Everton win to be honest

Expected something similar however one of the core front 3 to still start, probably Salah with Elliott to come in with plenty of time to play.

Why would Liverpool field a weakened team? Surely winning the double would make a very good team a great team?

People forget it's not just about that, it's about keeping the squad happy too.

Throwing some fringe players into a big game (who don't get much 1st team time) helps keep harmony in the squad. Stops them getting restless at not getting opportunities. Big chance for the likes of Lallana today.

Plus I'd say our second string have a very good chance of still doing Everton over anyway

Got the FA Cup feel while at Wolverhampton station with some Tranmere fans coming back from a thrilling three goal recovery at Watford. From there to Birmingham New Street we chatted to fans of both Wolves and Manchester United. Of the latter, one proclaimed Wan-Bissaka as the best right back in the EPL.

Since I watch NL football, I couldn't possibly say! But there were a couple of FAC 'shocks' with Sheffield Wednesday winning at Brighton and Fulham defeating Aston Villa.

Merseyside derby today of course!
